The current exhibition at museum gugging focuses on the Uruguayan artist Magalí Herrera (1914 - 1992) who enganged in a vivid correspondance with Jean Dubuffet (1901 - 1985). Dubuffet was very invested in the idea of uninfluenced art and by that coined the term "art brut".

The exhibition shows more than 80 worksby Herrera, accompanied by several letters of the exchange with Dubuffet, thus giving a deeper insight into Herreras world. 

Curated by Pascale Jeanneret, curator of the Collection de l'Art Brut where the exhibition was already on display.
