Originally, the Kulturhügel Gugging Förderverein was founded in 2016 with the aim of promoting awareness of the Gugging Art and Cultural Center in the form of events and cultural events -  both in the surrounding area, the nearby IST Austria, and internationally. However, in 2023 the association was dissolved in order to present a more unified image of the gugging friends association and the Art Brut Center Gugging. Known today as the Department for Events, the department still pursues the same goals and organizes events and cultural events at the Kulturhügel Gugging under the mantle of gugging friends.
