In his last publication as artistic director of museum gugging, Johann Feilacher presents his "brut favorites", his "raw favorites".

Included in this last publication are works and artists that, in Feilacher's personal opinion, have received too little attention in his curatorial work.  In doing so, he refers to both national and international Art Brut. For instance, the finger paintings of the Swiss artist Louis Soutter as well as the object painting of the American artist Mary T. Smith find a place here. But also the textile sculptures of Judith Scott as well as tribal artworks from the cultural Stone Age from the highlands of New Guinea are shown.

The catalog contains numerous images, which are accompanied by text contributions by Christian Berst, Johann Feilacher, Irina Katnig, Nina Katschnig, Cornelia Manegold, and Frank Maresca.
